Due to the scarcity of locally available information technology companies capable of understanding the constraints of local information technology problems, such as limited bandwidth, low computer literacy, and extremely high dollar-related costs of imported solutions, a clear gap existed for a new approach to technological advancement and business growth. As a result, OTDOS was established as a company that consolidates the knowledge of available talent in the Mpumalanga, with the goal of harnessing, developing, and combining local skills with international quality for the local market. Due to the large amount of start-up capital and skills required to develop information technology and new niche products, OTDOS will harness and consolidate skills from fragmented local information technology companies, with the goal of reversing the trend.
